Your child, ______________________________, was tested recently because he/she was nominated for the Yoakum ISD Gifted/Talented Program.
After carefully considering all the criteria for selection into the program, ______________________'s scores did not qualify him/her for services.
If your child did not qualify at this time, his by no means changes the fact that these students may be intellectually, creatively, or academically superior. It merely means that their evaluations did not fall within the guidelines required for placement into the YISD Gifted/Talented Program. Your child may be re-nominated at a future time.
