Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the Board of Education of the Yoakum Independent School District will be held Monday, January 12, 2026, at 6:00 P.M., in the Board Conference Room of the Yoakum Independent School District, 315 E. Gonzales Street, Yoakum, Texas.

The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as follows:

  1. Roll call
  2. Approve minutes of the regular board meeting of December 8, 2025
  3. Communications
    1. Report of the Tax Assessor/Collector
    2. Principals’ report and enrollment update
    3. Construction update
    4. Review the 2025 TAPR report
  4. Public comments
  5. Old business
  6. New business
    1. Call Trustee Election for May 2, 2026
    2. Take action as necessary to adopt a resolution adopting the May Uniform election date, appointing the Superintendent of Yoakum Independent School District as the Chief Election Officer of Yoakum Independent School District and authorizing the Superintendent to continue the Joint Election Agreement with the City of Yoakum and Yoakum Hospital District
    3. Approve Budget Amendment #3
  7. Executive session
    1. Consider contract extensions for Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent for Administration, and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction, TGC 551.074
