Out of District Transfer Students 2026-2027

It is time for parents, who live in a school district other than Yoakum ISD and would like their children to attend school in the Yoakum School District for the 2026-2027 school year, to submit an Out of District Transfer Application.  All transfers must be in compliance with the Modified Court Order, Civil Action No. 5281, and will be carefully screened and reviewed.  Transfer Applications in violation of the court order will not be accepted.

Parents who would like to transfer a student into the Yoakum Independent School District for the 2026-2027 school year need to call 361-293-3162, Monday through Thursday, for an appointment at the Administration Office, located at 315 E. Gonzales Street, in order to complete the transfer application.  For new students, please bring social security number and date of birth for each student being transferred.

The deadline for completing an Out of District Transfer Application is May 8, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline of May 8, 2026 will face the possibility of the transfer not being approved.
