Here's an update on the app.

1. Many of you reported not receiving the password reset emails. Finalsite (the company that provides the app) says that this was a bug and has been corrected.
2. Some of you were able to get logged in, but the app said you didn't have access to chat. Finalsite says this was also a bug and has been corrected.
3. There is a new version of the app available in the Apple App Store and Google Play. Please download the new version.
4. We have uploaded most of the parent emails collected at Registration. Starting Monday, August 17th, you should be able to reset your password and log in if your child attended the first day of school. This is an ongoing process, and we will be uploading daily until we have everyone.
5. You must be listed as a parent or guardian for your child. Contacts who are not parents or guardians will not be able to use the chat. 
6. Coming soon -- Finalsite has added text/SMS messaging to the app for notifications of chat content. We are in the process of setting that up.

For log in instructions, please visit our App Instruction page. Follow the onscreen prompts to set up two-factor authentication.

Most of the content will be available without logging in. Logging in is only required for access to chat.

The Yoakum Independent School District invites sealed bids on the sale of miscellaneous items.  Included, but not limited to, are these items:  merchandise trailer, work tables, shelves, furniture, office equipment, file cabinets, chairs, etc. All items will be sold as is, with no guarantees.

January is School Board Recognition Month and Yoakum I.S.D. is joining other districts across the state to thank these volunteers for their commitment and contributions to our public schools and community.

Over the weekend, there will be changes to accessing ASCENDER’s login page. All Ascender pages will be unavailable starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. 

This will affect the following:

• ASCENDER Parent Portal
• ASCENDER Student Portal
• ASCENDER Teacher Portal – Staff must not access over the weekend
• ASCENDER – Staff must not access over the weekend

New links will be available on Yoakum ISD website homepage on Monday, December 8, 2025.

2026 Yoakum Bulldog Football Season Tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders of last year starting on Monday, August 10, thru Thursday, Aug. 20. Season tickets will be made available to everyone on a first-come, first-served basis from Aug. 24 thru Sept. 3.

Campuses within Yoakum I.S.D. will be having student registrations for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year.

Are you aware of a child with problems in walking, talking, hearing, seeing, moving or thinking? Free screening services are available for children ages Birth - 5 years.

Screening will be held at Yoakum Primary Annex.

Residents of Yoakum and Sweet Home are eligible.

Yoakum ISD needs team championship pictures and pictures of graduates who were college athletes.
