  1.  Names of people and animals begin with capital letters.
  2. The word I is always written with a capital letter.
  3. Names of the days of the week and months of the year begin with capital letters.
  4. The first word and all important words in a title begin with capital letters. A title does not end with a period.
  5. Names of places begin with capital letters.

Rules for Sentences

  1. A sentence tells us something or asks us something.
  2. The first words in every sentence begins with a capital.
  3. A sentence that tells us something end with a period.
  4. A sentence that asks us something is called a question. The first word in a question begins with a capital letter. A question ends with a capital ends with a question mark.

Commas

  1. When you write a list of things in a sentence, put a comma after each thing listed.
