25 % Tests
25 % Six weeks test

3rd six weeks - Science fiction novel -The Giver by Lois Lowry
4th six weeks - Integration of  Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills
5th six weeks - Great Depression Novel - No Promises in the Wind by Irene Hunt
6th six weeks - Holocaust Novel - Devil's Arithmetic by Jane Yolen
Supplies:  Students will need 1 blue folder with brads and pockets.  The folder will be for their vocabulary study sheets and other reading handouts.
