Welcome to the Yoakum High School Library Homepage.

The Library is open to students and faculty from 7:45 a.m. to 3:55 p.m. on school days. Students may come in to read, for individual study, reference work, or may check out books. A pass is needed from the office or from a teacher allowing students to come to the library before school and during school hours. The library is closed for lunch from 12:15 -12:55.

Book Shelves

The Library contains over 4,000 books covering a wide range of interest levels. In this newly remodeled facility there is plenty of room for growth.

Checkout Policy

Students may have up to two books checked out at a time. Books may be checked out for a period of 2 weeks. Fines for late-book returns are $.05 per school day.

Some reference books, and all magazines, are available for library use only

Library Computers

Library Computers

The Library computers are available for research or typing schoolwork only. There is also a computer lab available for classroom use.
Online homework help is available using a variety of links within Digital Knowledge Central (DKC). EBSCO, Encyclopedia Britannica and Newsbank are some of those links. Stop by the library to get the passwords if needed.
