Grading

There will be specific, objective aspects of evaluation for each practice and each project. In other words, there are definite expectations to be met and I hope to see you do that creatively. There will be many options for you to do this within each project.
There will be 3 - 4 projects/major grades per six weeks period, each worth 100 points. In some cases, when a project is especially time consuming, two major grades may be assigned for a project.
25% Daily Grades - note taking, portfolio, sketches, practices, worksheets, quizzes
25% Participation
50% Projects/Tests

Late Work

All projects are due by the due date, no exceptions. Should a grade be at a level the student, parent, and/or instructor is not satisfied with, there is an option to improve or redo work and have it regarded. The requirements for this are:
  1. Completed work was turned in on time
  2. Work re-submitted must be accompanied by the original grade sheet
  3. Work re-submitted must be completed and turned in before the end of the six week period the project was assigned
