The Rotary Club endeavors
to follow the Rotary belief that
"Service Before Self" is a satisfying venture. Our
scholarship program that was started
many years ago is one the avenues of achieving our goal of service. Many hours of dedicated work and effort have
gone into this worthwhile program.
The
following guidelines have
been set for selecting recipients for the Yoakum Rotary Scholarship:
- The desire for higher
education.
- Is applicant capable of
completing and competing on a two or four-year college level or trade
school?
- Is applicant's goal to
complete their education through the field they chose?
- Does the applicant have a
need for additional financial help?
- What is the overall
attitude of the student?
- Applicant must be a
full-time student during course of study.
- Scholarship funds must be
used by the start of the second semester.
- Students of Rotary Club
members are eligible for this scholarship.
The
Yoakum Rotary Scholarship Committee will screen all applications
returned
for consideration. Student interviews will be
held
after all applications have been carefully screened.
The personal interviews will be held in March. |
