PROCEDURES FOR SELECTING RECIPIENT
OF
LEADERSHIP AWARD:

Best All-Around Female Student selected from
the
current high school graduating class by the total high school faculty
in
May for recognition and award presentation during the Awards Assembly
Program.
|
|
Criteria for Leadership Award:
|
|
1. Final accumulative grade
average
and class ranking in upper one-fourth of class, with positive goals for
developing
further the recognized leadership capabilities.
|
|
2. Demonstrated leadership in
classroom
and extra-curricular
activities
|
|
A Nannie Ray Baker Leadership Award Fund has
been
established at the Yoakum National Bank, effective April, 1980.
The
interest earned annually will be the financial part of the Award and
will
be paid on the principle on deposit. The interest withdrawal and
presentation
to the student during or immediately following the Awards Assemby will
be
handled by the Yoakum High School counselor.

This fund was initiated by and will be
increased
by contributions in honor of Nannie Ray Baker, whose scholarship,
principles
and character were an inspiration to her students.
