SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA



David Bowen, a 1980 graduate of Yoakum High School, earned the distinction of being a World Champion calf roper.  He was killed in a plane crash, and a memorial scholarship has been established to honor his memory.  The hard-work and dedication he exemplified in achieving his goal in life is a model for all to follow.

This scholarship will help and honor a deserving high school senior.  The following are some guidelines which will be considered for receiving a scholarship:

1.    Hard-working and positive attitude.

2.    Financial considerations.

3.    Desire to contribute to society.

4.   Pursuit of college, university or trade school degree
